NEW MEMBER ASSOCIATION ORIENTATION

The Greater Binghamton Association of REALTORS®, Inc. Bylaws require all REALTOR® membership applicants to complete our Orientation coursework within the first two opportunities after becoming a provisional member (Provisional membership is granted upon submitting a properly completed and signed membership application and paying the appropriate dues).  Applicants must attend the sessions required in relation to their type of membership and receive a certificate of completion.

Topics Covered:
There are three specific requirements that you need to complete prior to your full membership.

  • You need to complete one full day of classes at the association that consists of Government Affairs, MLS Rules and Regulations, Contracts and Forms and the INNOVIA® System.  This class is offered every other month. 

  • You also need to complete two additional courses: Ethics and Fair Housing.  These are offered to you via classroom classes or CD-ROM computer courses.  You have to complete this portion by the date of the 2nd Orientation class.  If you choose the CD-Rom it will be given to you with passwords.  If you choose the classroom classes, or video (only for Fair Housing), you will need to look at the REALTOR Review and sign up for the classes.

One CD-ROM is offered to you, if you lose or damage it any others you receive need to be paid for.
